So I recently had my first transcendent experience. I drank a plant medicine called Ayahuasca. What is Ayahuasca I hear you ask?

Ayahuasca, also known as yage, is a blend of two plants – the ayahuasca vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) and a shrub called chacruna (Psychotria viridis), which contains the hallucinogenic drug dimethyltryptamine (DMT). DMT – and therefore ayahuasca – is illegal in the UK, the US and many other countries. But according to many prominent scientists and leading thinkers this should not even be referred to as a drug but as a medicine due to it’s widely reported healing properties. This medicine dates back to ancient times and you can find many prominent thinkers like Terence McKenna and Graham Hancock who are ardent supporters of introducing it more widely into society.

After much research I decided to go to Costa Rica to a magical place called Rythmia – the worlds first medically licensed planet medicine retreat. You can read all about my journey in great detail here.

Whilst on this life changing journey I encountered other worldly beings. I was so deeply affected by my experiences with these other entities that when I got home I decided to search the internet to see if I could find more answers and to my amazement I discovered that many people claim to have met these same beings. People describe them in very similar ways and they are commonly referred to as ‘Machine Elves’.

Machine elves (also known as fractal elves, self-transforming elf machines or”Jenny”) is a term coined by the late ethnobotanist, writer and philosopher Terence McKenna to describe the apparent entities that are often reported by individuals using tryptamine-based psychedelic drugs, especially DMT

During my extensive internet searches I came across some fascinating articles and videos and wanted to share my findings with you here on Educate Inspire Change.

One writer/psychonaut from the site acidmath.me had this to say

Perhaps they are the programmers, and some say they might even be us in another dimension. Machine elves may sort of be like guardian angels, or spirit guides, just with a different purpose

When I met the machine elves, they were working very hard to hold every piece of matter together. The more my vision zoomed in on objects and people around the room, the more I saw of them. They seemed happy to be doing their job, but also clueless as to there being any other possible role for them in the world. I’m not sure that there is one.

Another idea is that the machine elves are the architects and technicians of the universe working round the clock to bring you reality. They are ancient, timeless. They always have been and always will be. They are our higher selves. The elves are ourselves. Just in another higher dimension.

What if they are the energy that runs the universe? When I blast off I’m transported to a “room?” which to me seems like an energy hub. They move in and out of everything, they are everything. And so am I. They showed me amazing things I can’t easily describe, and they said so much (telepathically). But I came to understand (maybe) why Terrence called them machine elves. They are machines. They are the mechanism that runs “the hub”.

1. 1. I’m not sure about elves but the entities i saw were constructing and deconstructing at lighting speed like building a lego land dismantling and rebuilding a completely different visual space around me
   2. Upon entry the machine Elves are usually with me in a room working on the spiritual template of my physical organism. The primary goal is always the gradual rolling back of amnesia to reveal full spectrum consciousness without the dis-integrating result of Reichs schizophrenic split.They teach the methods of communication and movement and the definition of freedom as time, space and form.
   3. Always benevolent although sometimes brutal with the Truth.
   4. Navigating as a singularity inside the allness takes some practice and the purpose built SuperLuminal beings are the best teachers I’ve encountered so far.
   5. Call them what you will they are present in pure heart potential initiates experiences until the training wheels are off so to speak.
   6. I don’t now but I’ve worried that they are running a “matrix” type show. They are busy keeping up this reality as a front to theirs and when they see us, they understand we’ve broken through. That’s why they sometimes panic and some don’t care, They have personalities just like we think we do. Also some try to lead us around to stun us into fading back to our reality.

Terence McKenna’s explanation of Machine Elves

At about minute one or two of a DMT trip, according to McKenna, one may burst through a chrysanthemum-like mandala, and find: There’s a whole bunch of entities waiting on the other side, saying “How wonderful that you’re here! You come so rarely! We’re so delighted to see you!” They’re like jewelled self-dribbling basketballs and there are many of them and they come pounding toward you and they will stop in front of you and vibrate, but then they do a very disconcerting thing, which is they jump into your body and then they jump back out again and the whole thing is going on in a high-speed mode where you’re being presented with thousands of details per second and you can’t get ahold on [them …] and these things are saying “Don’t give in to astonishment”, which is exactly what you want to do. You want to go nuts with how crazy this is, and they say “Don’t do that. Pay attention to what we’re doing”. What they’re doing is making objects with their voices, singing structures into existence. They offer things to you, saying “Look at this! Look at this!” and as your attention goes towards these objects you realise that what you’re being shown is impossible. It’s not simply intricate, beautiful and hard to manufacture, it’s impossible to make these things. The nearest analogy would be the Fabergé eggs, but these things are like the toys that are scattered around the nursery inside a U.F.O., celestial toys, and the toys themselves appear to be somehow alive and can sing other objects into existence, so what’s happening is this proliferation of elf gifts, which are moving around singing, and they are saying “Do what we are doing” and they are very insistent, and they say “Do it! Do it! Do it!” and you feel like a bubble inside your body beginning to move up toward your mouth, and when it comes out it isn’t sound, it’s vision. You discover that you can pump “stuff” out of your mouth by singing, and they’re urging you to do this. They say “That’s it! That’s it! Keep doing it!”. We’re now at minute 4.5 [of the trip] and you speak in a kind of glossolalia. There is a spontaneous outpouring of syntax unaccompanied by what is normally called “meaning”. After a minute or so of this the whole thing begins to collapse in on itself and they begin to physically move away from you. Usually their final shot is that they wave goodbye and say “Deja vu! Deja vu!”. This concept may be related to a tendency for the brain to imagine living entities during certain altered states. The best example of this is the extremely common feeling of a living presence during sleep paralysis (which has been theorized as the origin of the succubus, as well as a common theme in many alien abduction stories).
