Good deeds are frequently happening all around you.
If you only keep your eyes open to them you’ll notice.
That’s exactly what happened to Officer Kanesha Carnegie of the Levy County Sheriff’s Office in Bronson, Florida. Not only did she notice an act of kindness happening, but she managed to capture it on video. She filmed these three lovely young men coming to the aid of a 100-year-old man who was having trouble helping his exhausted wife into the car’s passenger seat.
Carnegie, the policewoman, was in a gas station parking lot in Williston at which point she glanced around and realized that there was an elderly woman struggling to get back into her car. That was 89-year-old Rose Griest, who was unbelievably tired from a busy morning.
She was about to go over to offer her assistance to the Griest’s when, at that very moment, she saw three young rappers from the neighborhood approach the couple and help them into their car. Seeing that her assistance was not needed she simply asked the gentlemen’s (and elderly’s) permission to film the exchange so that she could inspire other people with their act of compassion.
The elderly couple told her afterwards that they had stopped on their way to a medical appointment in order for Rose to use the gas station bathroom. On the way back to the car she was so exhausted from the trip that she could barely even stand.
Carnegie uploaded the video footage to Facebook and it has been viewed millions of times since! The trio, Joc Koe Stoe, Marty, and Freddy G, are being praised for being good hearted citizens and everybody loves them!
Carnegie told Yahoo! News:
“It was a beautiful thing to see. I know these men from the neighborhood, and I wanted them to have that moment to show who they really are.”
