This young couple live as part of a community called Wurruk’an in Victoria, Australia. Wurruk’an is a humble but beautiful body of land, water, and forest in the Gunai district of Gippsland. In recent years it has become an inclusive gathering space for people seeking to pioneer and demonstrate a ‘simpler way’ of living based on permaculture principles.

This young couple show what is possible with a simple set of tools and a group of dedicated friends. If this is something you have been thinking of doing then I hope their story inspires you.

Land ownership is a huge barrier for people who may want to live this way. And for those of you who think it is impossible as you can’t afford to buy your own land then check out communities like Wurruk’an. If people get informed , find eachother, organise and actively seek out land owners then more communities like this will be possible.

If this is something you think you want to do I have set up a group for like-minded people to chat and plan together – Educate Inspire Change Forum

You can also connect with me personally below, and If I can help you on your journey then I will.
