As if the world of trophy hunting couldn’t get more despicable, there is now a professional hunting firm offering a sickening “special offer package” – Buy one, get one free.
Mkulu African Hunting Safaris which is in South Africa is offering their customers a free lioness if they pay to shoot a male lion. On their website under the section for ‘African lion hunting safari packages’ they state the following:
“Book a Category 2, 3, 4 or 5 lion hunt with us and add a lioness AT NO EXTRA cost. On average stand-alone lioness hunts sell for anything between $5,000 and $7,700.
“You can compare this to your own Black Friday special offers on African lion hunts. We have a limited number of packages available for this incredible offer.”

According to the website, the price is dependent on the lion’s size, category 1 starts at $14,750 while a category 4 lion will cost a hunter $29,750.
According to the mirror, Eduardo Goncalves, of the Campaign to Ban Trophy Hunting says that the hunting business is booming. This despite how insanely expensive this awful “hobby” is. Included in the price of hunts are services such a tracker, a professional hunter and even accommodation and beverages during your stay at the lodge.

“Before, it was just the landed gentry and army colonels who went on hunting safaris.
“Today, it’s gas engineers, utility company customer service managers, NHS suppliers, internet provider supervisors and even pensioners jetting off to kill wild animals for fun.
“Last-minute deals and cancellation offers mean some hunters are shopping around for bargains. It’s like Black Friday but for the animals every day is a black day.
“We’re facing an extinction crisis, yet we’re allowing more and more hunters to shoot rare and endangered animals.”

Turns out, Mkulu African Hunting Safaris isn’t the only company to offer sickening “special deals” – The mirror reports that another Lodge called Rance River Reserve has advertised the following:
“Five day, 7 animals, 4 hunters £1,499; 2 hunters £1,799.
“Choose 7 between: Black wildebeest, Bontebok, Impala (f), Impala (m) Jackal, Kudu (f under 53″), Warthog, Baboon, Vervet Monkey. Add a Zebra for £350.”
