A Japanese Amusement Park may either amaze or terrify you with it’s latest development.
Huis Ten Bosch, a Dutch theme park in Nagasaki Prefecture has developed floating hotels which drift through Omura Bay, set sail for a 10 acre island which hosts a number of “adventure-type attractions.”
The project was originally kick-started in the summer of 2018, with the futuristic “hotels” boasting a bathroom and an approximate 118-124 feet in size cabin, you may want to take a look at what these futuristic pods really are capable of.
Surprisingly affordable too, at just 30,000 – 40,000 yen, a stay equates to roughly 4264 – $352, PLUS you can split that four ways if you’re keen, since the hotel room sleeps 4.
Huis Ten Bosch, the Japanese park, is a mini-Netherlands, replicating many Dutch-style buildings, with themed hotels, shops and even restaurants, even the signature windmills and lush gardens make a feature, with the park hosting a tulip festival and a water canal boat parade.
The name may sound familiar to you, as the very same company has manned many previous ‘buzz worthy’ projects like this one, opening up their first ever ‘robot hotel’, which hosts a dinosaur robot which greets you at the hotel’s reception desk.

The five-star robot hotel’s name, Henn-na Hotel, translates to “Strange Hotel.” and that’s no gimmick: approximately 90% of the hotel’s functions are carried out by robots.
They have pretty cool features too like facial recognition technology for room access – great for guests who lose hotel key cards.
This most certainly isn’t the only floating hotel – Arctic Bath is destined to open in Sweden, offering you a lifetime experience to view the Northern Lights from the Lule river.
The hotel will float during the summer months, freezing in place in winter with a center opening where guests can take a dip in the river.
There will be six rooms available of roughly 270 square feet in size with massive windows for an optimal view of the Northern Lights.
