It’s a pretty big accomplishment to leave just one judge tongue-tied after you’ve given the performance of a lifetime, but by the time Charity Anderson and Andrés Antonio wrapped up their routine on NBC’s “World of Dance” last week, Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only one left scrambling for words.
“When you choreograph your own routines, you know what you’re capable of doing, you know your limits, you know your strengths,” Derek Hough enthused. “And you guys choreographed a routine that didn’t just play to your strengths,” he added, “it surpassed them. It transcended dance.”
That, of course, allowed them to advance to the Duals, where they performed to Kaleo’s “Way Down We Go” — and walked away with the first perfect scorein the show’s history!
The fast-paced dance is filled with such a dizzying array of flips, turns, lifts, and pretty much every other move you could incorporate into a routine. It was simply a joy to behold.
Charity and Andrés, both 17, hail from Springville, Utah, and started ballroom dancing together when they were just 8 years old. Andrés eventually veered off to focus on contemporary dance, and they only recently joined forces again to come up with the routine for the Qualifiers segment!
With their historic perfect score in this latest routine, this dynamic duo is moving on to the Cut rounds.
And if this routine is any indication of what’s to come, they stand a really good chance of winning that $1 million grand prize! Check out their stunning routine below, and remember to share their incredible talent!
Spread the inspiration and share with your friends and family.
