If you asked 100 people over the age of 90 what their biggest regrets were I can guarantee most of them would tell you that they wished they told (and showed) their loved ones that they loved them more often.
All too often we can love someone so much but we just don’t know what to do about it or how to express it. It’s something no one taught us growing up and we most definitely never learned it in school. And I think this is one of the biggest problems facing society today, a lack of expression of love in all forms.
Ask yourself who you love in your life. It might be someone who is a friend, it could be someone you were once with and not anymore and you are confused about, it could be someone new in your life or it might even be one of the easiest choices – a family member.
Love can be such a confusing thing, maybe we don’t even know what we’re struggling with. Do you really love that person? Should that relationship have ended? Is it worth the risk? Is the fact you’re related to this person reason enough to love them? These are all different battles that go on inside our heads when it comes to different forms of relationships and the question of love. Well I don’t have all the answers but I do think I can help.
I have come to learn that we know the answers to these things much clearer than we realize, we only have to look in our heart. The secret is to clear your mind, shut your eyes and listen to your heart.
The battle between the heart and mind has raged on since the beginning of humanity and it will most likely continue to rage on until the end of time. But for your sake and for the sake of your loved ones – listen to your heart and please please please – If there is one thing I can tell you with any certainty it’s this: if someone matters to you, make sure they know, no matter what that looks like.

Before I leave I also want you to remember this , before you can truly love someone you MUST learn self-love. Look inside yourself and feel nothing but love. Only when you are truly happy on the inside can you make someone else happy. So please for the sake of everyone involved – Love yourself first.
