Whenever we see or hear that someone has a really good UFO footage we maintain our skepticism.
Despite the countless theories that have been promoted around the globe, and how alien contact was established—according to ancient astronaut theorists—thousands of years ago, millions of people remain unconvinced that UFOs are real.
In other words, UFO’s may be real but they are probably not being piloted by otherworldly beings, aka aliens.
And while everyone has a right to believe in whatever they want, this UFO footage, filmed by the Chilean Navy, has left even the toughest critics in disbelief.
The Chilean Navy Captain claimed that the UFO was a “flat, elongated structure” with “two thermal spotlights like discharges that did not coincide with the axel of motion.” The technician who witnessed the object described it as “white with a semi-oval shape on the horizontal axis.”
The Chilean government agency—CEFAA—which investigates UFOs, or UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) released a video recorded nearly three years ago, in which a supposed UFO was intercepted by a Chilean Navy helicopter.
The recording was filmed on November 11, 2014, from an Airbus Cougar AS-532 helicopter of the Chilean Navy that was on patrol between the towns of San Antonio and Quinteros, reports Huffington Post.
Around two in the afternoon, the technician observed a strange flying object that was to the left of the Airbus, flying at the same height-some 1,300 meters-and at the same speed -about 245 kilometers per hours.
As noted by HuffPost, the technician onboard the Cougar AS-532 helicopter filmed the object for nine minutes and twelve seconds, mainly in IR.
Once the object was observed, the pilot tried to contact the unidentified object but received no response.
Immediately after, the crew contacted the radar stations – one located on the coast and the other in the capital of the country – but none of them managed to detect the object.
The traffic controllers, for their part, confirmed that no aircraft – civil or military – had been reported in the area.
Upon returning to their base, the helicopter crew delivered their recording of almost 9 minutes to CEFAA, which was in charge of investigating the incident.
Eventually, CEFAA scientists – “highly trained professionals with a lot of experience” – could not explain what they had seen in the video but they coincided in cataloging the aircraft as FANI— Fenómeno Aéreo No Identificado—which in English would translate to Unidentified Aerial phenomenon.
“We do not know what it was, but we know what it was not,” said the director of CEFAA, Ricardo Bermúdez.
