“If you’re having sex in front of your children and it feels good …”
In one of the most uncomfortable and bizarre television interviews to date, Utah-based vlogger and mother of three Tasha Maile, defended her decision to have sex while breastfeeding, during an appearance on a U.K. morning show, while, fittingly, breastfeeding.
Maile posted a video about her doing the dirty while breastfeeding in 2015 and unsurprisingly received much backlash in response. The words “incest” and “creepy” where the biggest on the word cloud.
Someone over at the U.K.-based show was smart enough to see the potential for ratings gold, tracked down Maile, and invited the vlogger onto the show to defend herself.
What unfolded was likely more than they bargained for.
“The baby was sleeping while breastfeeding, so, he was very attached to me,” Maile, breast exposed and baby in-arm, explained to co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
“If your baby is sleeping, again being an adult about the conversation, we all like sex, there’s no secret about it. I think it’s totally fine if the baby is sleeping,” she added.
Willoughby, clearly tripped-up by the absurdity of Maile, asked if there was ever a time she would refrain from breastfeeding the baby, perhaps while she’s in the shower…?
“The baby showers with me,” answered the vlogger, giving off an awkward laugh.
“If the baby is okay, the baby’s okay,” she added, circling back to the topic of intercourse while breastfeeding. “They’re not sitting there judging you and thinking ‘my mom and dad are having sex.’ It’s a two- or three-month-old baby. They’re so innocent.”
Schofield then asked the mother about some of her viewers potentially watching her posts for the wrong reasons, implying sexual deviance.
She was totally cool with it. For real.
“In my opinion there is no right or wrong, it is what it is. And what people are watching my videos for is really none of my business,” she deadpanned.
Maile apparently still breastfeeds all three of her children, the eldest of whom is five. So the co-hosts inquired at what age it is no longer acceptable to get it on with your children attached to your breast.
“I’m not sure it doesn’t become not okay,” she replied, incredulously.
“If you’re having sex in front of your children and it feels good …,” she said before being cut-off by Schofield.
“That’s a hell of a quote!” exclaims the co-host.
You really just have to watch for yourself.
